The next Stokes Croft Writers Talking Tales live lit event called 'More Banksy Than Bonnets' is on Friday 2 June as part of the Bath Fringe at Burdall's Yard in Bath. I submitted my story 'A Visit From the Vampires' which was selected, so I will be reading it.

We have received a boggling 109 submissions from 82 authors for the next SSS event - our 14th - on Sunday 21 May at the SVA, John Street, Stroud, GL5 2HA at 8pm (doors 7.30). My fellow judge Ali Bacon and I are enjoying reading the submissions and will be announcing the ten stories/authors who will be reading before too loong and definitely by 12 May at the very latest.
At the 22 April 2017 Hawkesbury Upton Free LitFest I chaired the short story session and read my pieces 'Sensitive', 'Rats' and 'You were in need of money.'
Under the aegis of Rona Laycock I will be reading my story 'Orly' on Corinium Radio in Cirencester on 20 April. I do not know yet when it will be broadcast.
Lovely to have my story 'The Valley' long listed in the first Reflex Fiction Flash Fiction Competition. Two Stroud Short Stories alumni - Steve Wheeler and Joe Eurell - on there too.
They received 1,124 submissions!!
'The Valley' will be published at some point before the end of June 2017.

Under the banner 'Another Country' ten authors read last night at the SouthBank Club in Bristol. Others included Ali Bacon, Jean Burnett, Debbie Young, Mark Rutterford, Mark Lewis, Lania Knight, Heather Jo Reed and Dawn Maria Kelly. I read my story 'Door Step'.
I'll be reading my story 'Door Step' this Sunday 19 March as part of Bristol Unchained Writers event 'Another Country'. Others reading include Debbie Yong, Ali Bacon, Mark Lewis and Mark Rutterford.
