Following The Cabinet of Heed's acceptance for publication of my little piece 'Parliamentary Statistics', the online literary journal has now accepted 'You're Very Beautiful' for its Science Fiction Special to be published in a few weeks' time.
My strange little piece 'Parliamentary Statistics' has been accepted for publication by the online literary journal The Cabinet of Heed. It will appear online in its fifth edition at the end of February 2018.
My little piece 'Boyfriends' has been accepted for publication by the online and in print literary magazine Ellipsis Zine. It will be published in Ellipsis Zine TWO very soon.
The brilliant artist Bonnie Helen Hawkins is producing a book called 52 Crows this year, illustrating a crow every week of the year and accompanying it with a crow story. She has selected my story 'This Dark Window' for illustration.

My 31 word flash piece 'The First Time at her Place' has been published in the anthology 'Origami Poems and Towering Stories: Poetry and Flash Fiction 2017' published by Earlyworks Press.

Last night I read at the launch of the 2017 Worcestershire Literary Festival Flash Fiction Anthology 2017. I have three little dark tales in it - 'Skin', 'You were in need of money' and 'The Guy at the Bar'.
For the second time running, I have had a story short listed, commended and published (with an interview!) by the Dorset Fiction Award! Last time it was 'Orly' but this time it's my new story 'How to Improve Productivity'.

The two Stroud Theatre Festival gigs at the Ale House seemed to go well. They were called 'Philip and John's Medium-sized Nights Out' and were done jointly with Philip Douch.
Friday 29 Sept I read 'The Hero' and 'The Night Ape'. About 20 people attended.
Saturday 30 September I read 'Da' and a range of flash fiction - How to Improve Productivity, In Those Days, Islands, Boyfriends, Birth, Kate Adie is 69, A Hot Summer's Day, The First Time at Her Place. This gig was sold out - 25 people.
The next Stroud Short Stories event, entitled 'All You Need Is Love. Or is it?', is on Sunday 5 November at 8pm (doors 7.30) at the SVA Stroud.
